Fashion today extends beyond couture. Interior décor and even cuisine make fashion statements. Food should not only cater to taste but should also look appealing when served. The latest fashion trend in both these areas is fusion. A tasteful combination of east and west furniture is what the critics advocate. In particular Chinese furniture goes very well with Victorian pieces, both being ornate and solid.

Restaurants all over the world are into fusion food. Again the east west combination predominates. Oriental sauces and spices flavour the traditional western meat. Among the latest fashion is chicken in creamy shiitake mushroom sauce and Australian rack of lamb with fiery Korean spices.
